Montgomery County Gun Buyback

The Interfaith GVP Network, which includes Temple Sinai, is helping to raise funds for a gun buyback event on Saturday April 20, 2024, in Germantown (see full details here). This will be the first faith-based, “up-county” gun buyback in a section of Montgomery County which has seen an uptick in gun violence in recent years. This program is being held in cooperation with the Montgomery County Offices of the Sheriff and State’s Attorney.

The Network has raised over 60% of its $30,000 goal to remove as many as 300 guns from community streets in exchange for gift cards, i.e. “Goods for Guns”.  To donate to this effort, please click below.
